I'm back after more than 100 days!!!

Hi all,
I know!!! Its been a while!!! I have been busy with loads of stuff mainly work!! I did go through a nice little training session on Linux!!! Hurray!!! IT was in french - it was tough at the start, but we managed to get through it (alive). lol.... It was very interesting. The trainers were Niry Andriambelo from Madagascar and Shafeek Sumser who is from Mauritius itself!

It was so interesting and i have learnt a lot of stuff! Last week i went to Port-Louis and it was so irritating to see all those hawkers who were blocking the pavement and many people literally had to walk on the streets. someone will get run-over one day and then only will the government react. There have been places specially designed for them and yet this irresponsible folks still block the pavements. They claim that the spaces designed for them is far from the town center: They are operating illegally and yet they are choosy! This reminds me of the saying beggars can't be choosers. They sell cheap and poor quality stuff without any sort of guarantee and they do not even pay their taxes properly.

C'est un laisser-aller dégoutant de la part des authorités.

One other thing which got me on my nerves was the abuse that one minister does in particular, Well many of you might not remember the days when our honorable deputy prime minister came and cried on TV during the prime time (your know the 30-minute news whereby the goverment gets 20 minutes) when he swapped parties just to be in the government this guy always seems to be in a hurry to go somewhere. His 'motards' just cut straight across your way to stop you and allow his car through, i tend to think that he is always in a kind of emergency, like he's got chronic diahhroea or something...if thats is the case i would request the manufacturers of Mercedes to install a toilet seat in his next car. He has to bear one thing in mind, people need to get to work in time in this country, if he is not competent enough to plan his own itinerary, then he is definitely not good enough to take part in decision-making for our country. I will let you guess who that old guy is! Ok we will just call his Dr Honorable Chronic Diahhroea. In the next BR 22, i hope we have toilet seats installed! It is just disgusting to witness those double standards, the speed limit on the motorway is 90 km per hour and the driver of BR 22 easily goes over 120, and yet you have policemen who ride in front of him, who go even faster... Un abus de position revoltant.

Roule brite mort vite...i wish you this irresponsible driver!!!

I wish you all a very prosperous year 2009 and loads of happiness to you all and your families.

Hahaha... This post really made me had a good laugh... mostly about the famous minister to have a toilet in his car :D

I really think he has some problem with his intestine lol. Its always as if he is always in a hurry... and the other people have nothing to do and are just roaming around.

The prime minister even said on tv the other day that its for their security that they cannot move slowly or stop... wtf??? Who will murder these brats of idiots?

Its ridiculous to see that they even stop buses on the highway just so that they get the free way... even the people in the buses are going to work... and these people have far more important work than those idiots politicians.

Yeps Kurt, amazing isn't it. We need to order diapers for him! Peut-etre qu'avec l'age, la vessie et les intestins se relachent!! One thing is sure, i would not like to be close by if ever he reaches his toilet seat late!!

Finally, the blog's updated!

The "zordi tantot mem, ene post" has finally arrived? lol

Well, as usual the post made me laugh. Let's start from...the beginning of course! :P

You have finally discovered how Port Louis is a great place, hahaha...Pavement isn't made for pedestrians...my god!!! It's for the hawkers! You didn't know that?? This makes me think that you don't live in Mauritius..hihihi
Well, the saying goes better late than never ;)

"your know the 30-minute news whereby the goverment gets 20 minutes" --> Nice description...hihi...but i think it's more than 30 minutes lately (I barely watch it though...)

Well, since you started the topic, this reminded of what my dad once said when I asked him why should we always give way to those people, aren't they same as us with 1 face, 2 eyes, 1 nose, 2 ears, 2 hands, 2 legs blah blah blah...and he replied that SAJ (please find something to describe him to avoid being accused of cyber defamation) once said that he's a VIP, therefore he should get VIP treatment :P

That's all :)

Warm wishes for the new year...

Amiser pa abiser ;)

Cheers

LoL.
But I think that there is a prerogative for the Ministers which exclude them from the "speed limitation" on the road.

@Kurt---> They don't lie. They are just politicians.

@ Kurt and Gavin ..

well kurt and myself did fought on this issue many times ...

Those politicians got an agenda and time to respect for diplomatic stuffs and all..

Lets assume a politician gota attend a meeting or launch an association at 9 am ..

They need to be there at 9 ..

Then at 10 they need to sign an important document or contract concernin investment in Mtuis or why not attend a meeting with uom lecturers ..

They need to be there at 10 ..

This is the main reason they are in a hurry ..

Its not really fun .. to be always in a haste to go here and there like a puppet ...

lol. linux training in french?? Avinash could have teached you!! Now with his new company, maybe he would have charged you a bit.. (but hey you're a friend, you might get a discount!)

As for the marchand ambulants, I think that is the most disgusting thing in the capital at the moment! you are right; gouvernement p atane kikene crazer lor chemin! Not to mention the tax evasion! Bane marchand ambulants zot style 'bat bis' sa i guess.

Frankly, i am surprised you are 'still disgusted' with all these nonsense happening in our country (e.g mbc pou gouvernement, trottoir pou marchand ambulants, etc.). in almost all your posts you seem to be very angry with the government. It's better to avoid worrying about these things because they don't really do us any good, do they? And I'm pretty sure these ministers use BMW! Or is there a new trend?!

And for the priority on our roads, you should accept it, because by voting, you are acknowledging that whoever becomes a minister, he is entitled to these privileges.

Anyway,
happy new year!

btw, which linux distribution are you using? Try Ubuntu 8.10 if you are finding yours quite difficult to use.

I tend to think that some of the marchands ambulants may be 'colleur l'affiche pou Mr X, Miss Y and Mrs Z'.

Well Yusha, I do agree thatt hey have busy agendas and most of the time they dnt know what they are signing. But some planning is mandatory over here. If you have a meeting at Souillac at 09 00, then dnt flipping schedule a meeting at Cap Malheureux at 10 00.

BMW or Mercedes, i dnt really care....those cars pollute much more...and yet they give lectures about protecting the environment and Maurice Ile durable. I GUESS the situation on Por-louis with the hawkers will only get better when one or more innocent people get run over.

BTW i am using Ubuntu 8.10, want to get into Debian...but thats a different issue. The only problem i am having with Ubuntu 8.10 is that it is only detect 2 out of my 4 GB of RAM, can anyone help on that?? Apparently i need to install a 64-bit version, or recompile a kernel with PAE (Physical Address Extension) enabled, or use Debian. I had the same problem with Windows Vista, but installing Service pack 1 for vista solved the problem

Toilets in the mercedes?? WOW. Thats quite a creative mind! :P

Well.. if they ones at the top, themselves, doesntt set the example, they cannot expect us to follow the rule 'a la lettre'.(but they do expect us to do that.)

I wonder if the Aston Martin gets caught bt those speed cameras... will the Dude get a letter @ home? for Excess Speed...

*food for thoughts*
